Way back in October, Rutger Hauer was announced as the first new hire for the sixth season of True Blood. Our first look at his role has hit the interwebz (I have no idea where it originated), and it is interesting, to say the least.
Hauer will play Macklyn, "a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason." Hauer is pretty damn sinister on his own; his Phil Spector-like hair just pushes him over the edge. But man, I do love that suit.
True Blood returns to HBO this summer with its second showrunner in less than a year (True Blood veteran Brian Buckner took over last week for Mark Hudis, who himself took the reins from original executive producer Alan Ball).
